Every trip, every time To remind everyone about the importance of buckling up, the Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning has announced a “Click It or Ticket” seat belt enforcement campaign starting May 15. Officers from police departments, sheriff’s offices and the Michigan State Police will conduct seat belt enforcement across the state during a three-week period ending June 4.

As the days get longer and warm weather returns, drivers should expect an increase in motorcyclists on Michigan roadways, state officials advise. On March 29, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved Narcan, 4 milligram (mg) naloxone hydrochloride nasal spray for over the counter (OTC), nonprescription use – the first naloxone product approved for use without a prescription. Naloxone is a medication that rapidly reverses the effects of opioid overdose and is a standard medical treatment for opioid overdose.
